At Starcrest,
we understand the time and care you've put into selecting
or designing your special wedding gown. We know it's
an enduring symbol of your special day to preserve for
yourself and future generations. With that in mind,
we have researched and use the latest cutting edge technology
used by museum curators to preserve priceless garments
in their care.
At Starcrest, we use the same exclusive materials and
preservation process used by the Smithsonian.
That’s right. You can have your special garments
preserved with the same process used for the Brooks
Brothers coat made for Lincoln’s Second Inaugural
and George Washington’s Army coat.
This exclusive preservation process and materials are
designed to last 200 years or more.
At Starcrest, we will:
Thoroughly inspect your gown for stains, especially
on the hemline
Treat all stains prior to cleaning
Test beads and trim for cleanability
Clean your gown by itself to protect it from any
potential damage.
Inspect after cleaning and re clean if necessary
Hand finish following the designer’s line
and drape
Package in a Museum Quality Archival Box
This completes the process used by the
Smithsonian curators to preserve textiles
for hundreds of years.
This process is available exclusively at Starcrest Cleaners
and other
America’s Best Cleaners affiliates.
